Graduated: Fall 2024

Employment: Schneider Electric

Q: What do you like the most about your job? I like the ability to do different positions. This opportunity allows me to make a lateral move easily without going through the re-application process, which will further my company experience and overall career development.

Q: Which course or professor at MTSU had the greatest impact on your career readiness? Two individuals who had the most significant impact are: First, Dr. Morrell for believing in my ability to take on the academic load that comes with the Masters program at MTSU. This belief that Dr. Morrell had shown me that I am capable of taking on more than I previously thought I couldn’t handle. I’m always pushing myself to take on challenges that I previously believed I could not take on to prove to myself that I can take those challenges head-on. Second, thank you, Dr. Tarpey, for challenging me academically. Although there were moments when I felt frustration and anger due to the amount of work given by him, I now realize that his courses not only focused on teaching us “the basics” but also challenged us to think outside the box. As a result, I am challenging myself every day in my career to develop myself further and become a better person than I was yesterday.

Q: Tell us a little about your current position at Schneider Electric?  I am an SDP:GSC in a three-year development program designed to provide broad exposure across Supply Chain. Currently, I’m in my first rotation as a Flow Controller, where I help ensure smooth material flow and inventory alignment to meet production and customer needs.e.

Q: What advice would you give to current supply chain students? The best advice I can give is don’t give up. Romans 8:18 tells us, "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." Also, another advice I received was from a close friend of mine. He told me “you’re only 28 nos away from a yes”. Don’t let multiple rejection letters from companies or a bad grade turn you down; just take those nos as an opportunity to better yourselves, become better than you were before.
